Do the math, Garth.....Sabres are done. If the Leafs go .500 the rest of the season they end up at 91 points. That means the Sabres need to go 12-0 to pass them. That ain't happending. And even if it did, some other team....Isles.....Lightning....Panthers....Flyers...will pass the Leafs for the last wilcard spot if they do only play .500. I'm all for optimism....and Buffalo has a decent future....but this season is.done..

That's why I directed it to Garth. I am not stereotyping all Sabres fans into this bucket. I hate when people to this for any fan base.

Don't get me wrong.....the Sabres have a lot of good pieces, and if Eichel had not been hurt to start the year then they would be right in the thick of things for the playoff race. I just hope you roll over for the Leafs when you play us down the stretch (hey, I can dream).
